Devon Rex vs Sphynx
The check that settles it
Effectively coatless. A Devon Rex has a real, if very short, wavy coat.
Confirming a devon rex
- Enormous ears set low on the side of the head.
- A very short, soft, loosely waved coat — sometimes sparse enough to show skin.
- Whiskers short, curled and often broken.
- A short muzzle with strong whisker pads, giving an impish face.
Confirming a sphynx
- Skin like warm suede rather than bare — a fine invisible down over the whole body.
- Very large ears and prominent cheekbones.
- Wrinkling on the head, shoulders and between the ears.
- Warm to the touch, and it seeks heat constantly.
